Please help me to identify this frame?

Intrigued as to what the original bike may have been, does anyone recognise it? Apologies in advance if it turns out to be from 2014 but it looks like it may be older than that.

It screams low end, UK made or designed, steel frame such as a Townsend, Falcon, Emmelle, British Eagle etc but surprisingly not Raleigh. Otherwise a mystery, once the decals go it loses all identity.

Just checked through my 90’s catalogues, similar but not a Claud and that probably rules out Falcon.
