Please help me identify this bike

Thanks for all this info, so what I'm understanding is, we can (you can) identify each and every component of the bike, but these bits were mounted on so many bikes that its not possible to make a specific pinpoint to a make/model.

From what I gathered so far, most probabely Italian, made with decent bits and pieces from good makers (apart from that Ofmega which is a 'copy' of Campagnolo?)

Also just last question, the pedals, they aren't anything I have seen so far, its some lock system like my SPD's but they dont fit I don't have a better pic ATM so if you can guess from that general bike pic let me know>>>

SO... from the above and your experience, good bike to be proud of, OR, just another of 1000+ different old bikes lying around sheds.

My summary is that the frame is probably mid-late 70s, and quite possibly Italian. The Gipiemme dropouts suggest to me that it is probably not a "top-drawer" frame (which would most likely have been built with Campag dropouts). Can't say what the frame material is (apart from steel, of course). The components are functional and of good quality, but nothing special.

As for bragging rights and pride... It has clearly been looked after, and the older parts are in great condition for their age. The frame geometry looks like it would ride nicely. My guess is that it is a better ride than plenty of modern bikes, so you can be proud of owning a well-built frame that has given---and will continue to give---years of good service. Enjoy.
