any planning permission experts on site? or anyone done a similar thing?

thinking of doing a loft conversion, but live in a maisoneette? will i run into any problems as i'm obviously lease hold. issues with changing the description of the house etc

Your local council planners may offer a planning surgery or something similar. Go along and ask- you will also need building regulation approval.

get your cheque book out, gonna be costly  .you will need planning and regs and please use a good builder, not the cheapest tho, weve had to finish shit jobs people have started and its annoying as hell.good luck :D

Worth checking first whether you have the rights to the loft - would depend on the leasehold terms.
Time to get your Title Deeds out and talk to a solicitor...

Dont do it drunk either - my builder mates drunk friends decided to gut their house and create more space.

The outside walls are now sagging as they removed ALL walls and roof beams. There are cups still on the window sills on the upstairs windows as there are no stairs or floors...
