Mid-90's DB's had Manitous and DBR's Marzocchi's (can never remember how to spell them!) if I recall correctly.

yes its a nice steel frame ...I would like to have something new or old...I believe iots suspension ready...but maybe 70-80 mm travel is the most for that geo no?

what is the one you mention? a new model?

MArzocchi look nice but track like spagetti. Manitou 2 or 3 would be ideal on that frame. Get some pictures up - we quite like DBR's here

Why not a Mag 21 ???, Just look the result on my `94 Axis:

Period DBR correct would be something like Marzocchi XC500, 700 or XCR.
but as pickle says they are a bit bendy!

cheers everyone...thats all such great info..

my apex condition os not quite up to the axis bikes on show - will post a photo today...but it is a sweet ride - same frame I believe. I have the original fork ...but parts defintately not original....

am thinking about turning it into an all terrain tourer
