Pivot Bolt question

Kolks,
Can anyone tell me how to get the pivot bolt out of an RD-M735 XT Rear Mech. Mine sheared off, sourced a new bolt but beofre I start the butchering process, thought I'd ask.

you need to remove the circlip from the back of the mech ....then pull on the screw stop plate..the whole sucker should ping out easily.ps please make sure you do this away from the fridge as this swine will suck all the bits underneath and will never be seen again..ps putting the bolt back in is a complete git.also get the spring in the right way round or you are in a whole new world of hurt.good luck.

Just looking at it, it doesn't looke like a circlip; looks like a metal ring with a dimple at one side ging 3/4 through the ring..unless the other 1/4 is crap. :?

They do help mate, although I still can't see that circlip.

I've done so many of these over the years! The hardest bit is turning the B-tension plate at the same time as pushing it down to tension the spring. It's one of those jobs that sound harder than they actually are.

the clip is gone when the bolt sheared .it should just tap out with a hammer or hooded chav on the head should smack it out nicely.
