Hi Everyone
The lockdown has provided me with the impotus to actually finish this long term project
199- Overbury's Pioneer frame
Downsides, this has been badly molested by a previous owner canti mount removed, gear cable stops moved to top tube, think also may have had mudguard/rack eyes removed too, couple of small storage dimples.
Upsides, nice paint job with a red/gold flip.
At first I had the idea of fitting a Sachs Quarz/Neos/Centra gruppo but with the very short U.S.E. handlebars and gripshift it didn't look right.
So having managed to aquire a top pull XT front mech I descided to go with an XT/DX Group, with a few choice upgrades
With the frame colour I chose to go with some nice purple parts also helped by the fact the bars had a purple shim
