Pinarello Asolo decal advice

I have a mid 90s Pinarello Asolo which no longer has many of its decals on it. Much like most Pinarello's of that period

Before building it up I wanted to replace the decals. What would be the best solution do you think? Water-slide transfers and lacquer or vinyl stickers? Authenticity vs practicality?

Thank you

Well my Stelvio still has them all....

But then again it only has 500km´s on the clock.

Ebay will be the place to look for Decals, I would go with vinyl.

Lucky you! I know of/have seen a lot that haven't fared so well with time. What do people think would be the best way to replace the decals?

My home town. A teacher at one of the local schools had it build in 1999 and road it shortly, but did not come to like it (the loooong stem is my suspect) bought it cheap and dressed it in Syncros. Vinyl be course I just bought it for my 2007 Pinarello Paris frame and it looks good and adhere nicely.

Someone should've told him you can change stem

Do vinyl decals need any treatment on top? Also, presumably one should polish up the frame as best as possible before and not after applying the decals?
