Picture related - MBUK content........

I dont buy it myself, but one of the lads at work brought a recent copy of MBUK in, we were having a browse on the routes section (Wye Valley, ridden by two lasses) and we noticed on the pic when they are climbing, the front half of the front wheel of the lead bike is invisible, as if the pics have been taken separately and imposed on each other.

Im not really good enough to understand how to take a really good looking picture, but surely thats a bit misleading? The way its written is that the pics are taken en-route. Makes me wander how many other pics in there are photoshopped this way?

You're mistaken. That's a weight-weenie bike. They simply removed part of the front wheel to save weight.

I'd be surprised, manipulating photos takes time and they don't have much of that. Covers often get tinkered with, but a cover image can be the difference between a good-selling issue and a hopeless one, so it's worth spending the time on that. Stuff inside? Not so much.

I meant that without pictures this thread is meaningless, not that MBUK needed the photograph - I didn't make myself very clear though .

I looked at this in a shop today. If you look on the opposite page you can see part of the brake lever, but the background is the same. It looks as if the picture was cut and partly moved to the other page to make room for the text, but the background was kept to make it look nice. Does look odd though.

I don't think it was done to trick the readers, just to fit the page and look good. Could of done a better job of it though!
