There are certain 'black magic' parts of bikes that I had no idea of..... Headsets, bottom bracket/chainset, hub widths mostly..... I learnt from tinterweb on those, used brute force and ignorance on old crappers from the tip, and the other bits are pretty easy....... I am still unsure of hollowtech bb's, but can get by with the other bits now :0)
Invest in a lidl/ decathlon tool kit for £25..... This gave me confidence to start pulling things off!!!

Headsets used to scare me, but since then I'v learnt that there's nothing that a lump hammer, a broomstick, a freezer and a bigger bit of wood can't solve.

I'm the guy who fixes the bikes of my work mates, I should be ashamed of myself, depriving all those time served mechanics of there rightful tasks

Used to have a big ol' poster with maintenance type info on it, that'd be useful...

I have one of those somewhere, as published by MTB Pro magazine BITD, has various maintenance points on one side and a pile of components on the other. I always intended to stick it on the wall of my workshop but somehow never got the workshop

I'm fed up with skinned knuckles, permanently dirt ingrained hands and truing up wheel's with only the vague understanding of wheel magik.

Does he come with his own cordura storage case and how tea efficient is he - i.e does he meet the Euro T-cap 5 star rating (more than 5 cups of an hour plus anecdotes)?

tbh theres no much daunting in a bike

modern complications like suspension and hydraulic brakes can be a bit
of a pain

its the stuck bits i think present the most problems ,the ones that require
engineering solutions and HAMMERS
