Retro Newbie
Hi first post on here, was hoping some of you knowledgeable people could help me identify the year of this bike. I have searched through all the old catalogues I can find and can't find it anywhere. I have been assured everything on the bike is original. Any help much appreciated. thanks 20210830_144337-01.jpeg

Hi, its early 90`s bike , its a pretty low end model and they badged a few models as Triathalon over the years the best of which was a mid 80`s lugged Reynolds 501 frame sold as a PH501. Peugeots generally after about 1989 attract little interest as cost cutting and a decline of their professional racing team in the 90`s due to budget constraints meant the bikes didnt have the identity or desirability they had in the halcyon days although yours I`m sure rides great and will serve you well.

I have a soft spot for Peugeot bikes as I graduated from BMX to a Peugeot 10 speed Racer in the early 80s. It may have been low rent but I loved it and it took me on many adventures and never seemed to wear anything out.

Yours looks in great condition and I bet it rides well. Enjoy.

Thanks for the info, I got the impression it wasn't at the high end of desirable in terms of retro/vintage bikes but I love the style of it and was drawn to how it's nearly completely original apart from tyres and pedals I think. Also it was cheap at £80

What could you get new for £80........certainly not a bike that comes anywhere near to what you have bought. In fact I dread to think what bike you could get new fur £80 eek

Yeah for £80 I would struggle to get a set of tyres for my new bikes. It was definitely a steal at the price.
