is there a way to make my desktop use a 2gb compact flash card as RAM???

Compact flash is a form of mass storage and cannot be used a RAM.

what type of ram are you after?.

Play.com is the cheapest for Ram at the moment and their prices inc delivery.

use www.crucial.com to decide what ram it is you need, then either buy it there (not bad prices, guaranteed to work with your setup if you pick the right stuff & V.quick delivery) or use the info from crucial to pick it up elsewhere.
