PC based turbo trainer tax elite bkool........ Others?

Tacx, elite, bkool, etc etc not really familiar with one or another yet. One tucked away not being used.............
Suggestions and info please.

Does it have to be PC based?, I have a Tacx which I bought when recovering from a boken leg/knee/ankle but hardly used since and is now back in it's box.
