It wasnt an amazing bike back then and certainly didn't cost that much 20 years ago, but if anyone's willing to pay that for it then go for it. Personally I wouldnt touch it with anyones.

Its a better frame than most MTBs available in Britain below £500 at that time yes. It is now massively overpriced though, NOS or not you coild get a damn sight more bike for that much money on eBay or the classifieds here easily.

Testament to this fact is that they have had two Raleigh Ravince on ebay a around £300 for the best part of a month. Obviously brand new but probably worth around half that now at best.
