Parts to fit '94 Kona Lava Dome

Hello everyone!

I've got my hands on a '94 Kona Lava Dome Frame, and I would like to build my own retrobike from scratch. But I have to admit that my skills and knowledge could be better (yep, I don't know anything about it) :p At first I thought it would be easy, but when I started looking for components, I realized that I didn't know any sizes, measurements or what the original parts of the bike was :s And this is where I hope you guys could help me, as I would like to know if some of you possesses some of the bits, which where originally on the bike or fits the bike? :) Alternatively maybe you could just post some links which could guide me in the right direction :) Untill now I have only found a Kona Project Two fork, which i think was original, but even that I'm not sure of :s

Please help a lost soul ;)

Denmark - That's why the spelling and grammar is so poor; ask about the things you don't understand/I have misspelled :)

Welcome Morten, that didn't have anything special, if you take a look in the catalogue archive here, that should help or the retro Kona site?, Is the frame totally bare? i may have some parts that would work for you?

Thanks :)

It is totally bare, as you can see on the picture (Can't post links yet, so you'll have to wait for pictures), so I think it's quite a mouthful for a rookie like me :)
But I have spend the most of my day today looking through archives, searching old and new website and maybe even learned a bit, correct me if I'm wrong :)

I need a 1 1/8" fork, and I was thinking Project 2 so I found this:
(See Link in the next post)
will it fit, and is the price right?
alternatively I have found som newer P2's in black which costs about 40£.

68mm bottom bracket - would it be best to go for a new BB, or could an old one do the job? My local bike-dealer offered me a bb with isis thread at ½ price =15£, but then I figured I had to put more money into crankbox and pedalarms, or what? :s

Seat clamp = 29,8 (odd size)
Seat post = 26,6

Am I going in the right direction or should i just face the fact, that this is probably going to kill me :p

But either way, thanks for helping me getting started and if you possesses some parts and bits which will fit I'm very interested ;)
