i have a 1998 fisher hoo koo e koo that i am respraying and re-equipping in an effort to get a 1992 sort of vibe.

i need to know:

what to do about cantilever cable stops (the bike came with vees)

how to install my 1992-era deore dx cranket (i'm assuming i need a new bb, for spindle length reasons)

if i can get a 7 speed hyperglide cassette on the 8 speed stx (i think) hub.

For a canti stop you could use one of these:

The BB you need will be a 122mm axle - I'm not sure about BB shell width but you can either get it off the currant BB or measure it yourself.
