Been inspired to rescue my old kona Lavadome from depths of my garage and set about sorting it out, I stopped using it when the freewheel cassette broke, cassette just spins now in both directions.
It has old Pace RC30 Forks, Magura Hydrostop brakes, DX thumbies, answer hyperlites and Mavic SUP rims. I did modernise it about 5 years ago with Aheadset and Race face stem as old velocity headset was worn out.
- The rear hub is a Deore XT, I guess 1991ish. Is it possible to get a new freehub for it or just scrap it and buy a new back wheel ready built on new hub?
- Can brakepads for the Magura hydrostops still be purchased?
I was going to get it resprayed but think i`ll leave it as is. It is quite rusty as it alway used to live outside in my front garden, and never been nicked despite it never being locked up!
