Parkpre Al-U-Max

I was tasked with clearing an old lock up I've had for many years this week and within it was my trusty old Parkpre Bike.

I've had the bike since the mid 90's and think it dates from around '94 if I remember correctly.

It's only ever had very light use, so is in surprisingly good condition for it's years. Unfortunately the storage has taken it's toll a little and the frame has developed some surface corrosion and tyres etc perished.

The reason for coming here was to see if these Parkpre's have a following and to see if it's worth me offering the bike for sale.

Put a price on it and put it in the for sale section. I would buy it if it's cheap and local. As everyone else on here would.

Hi Dominic, welcome to our forum,

There's definitely a following, but let's say Championship, rather than Premier League, specially these later aluminium ones.

If you do a search, you'll see that frames seem to go for £50-75ish, so perhaps £150 tops complete with STX RC and the condition.
This nice example didn't sell at £300 back in 2013: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... u#p1583626 and this sort of mid-range market has dropped a lot in value since.
