left foot is all but useless through a bout of gout that came out of nowhere.

Tried an hour at work this morning and had to grimace through the gear changes as the van's stiff clutch did wonders.

Lots of ibuprofen for the swelling and pain but that leaves me groggy - work are OK but I dont like not being there - daytime TV sucks

Takes ten minutes to grimace through the simple process of putting on the loosest trainers I have.

Garrrrrrgh!

Can still ride a bike though! That doesnt hurt, just getting on and off does.

one of the guys at my place has gout, sometimes he's in bits with it, but he's a tough old boot! never has a day off with it but i think that's because he's got that stubborn refusal to be beaten by it, which bearing in mind how bad he looks with it sometimes is quite frankly impressive.
