Pace stem/steerer combo help

Trying to source enough info to have one made,is this how it fits into the crown,just by clamping with the 4 crown bolts,please feel free to copy/add to the diagram as im not sure still.Please excuse the rubbish paint diagram,lol

two things:

You'll need a lip on the top of the steerer to engage the headset to preload it

Second, you'll need to ensure that the end of the steerer is shorter than the bottom of the crown (think an aheadset assembly in reverse), there were different length ones for each size of frame.

its an original im afraid! i need to get some new stickers sorted out for it at some point. id be really interested in getting a fresh one made tho if they can be done for a reasonable amount some how...
 
I asked a few members on here about it and Dave Yates name came up,so im going to forward your pics(if you dont mind) to him and ask if its possible.
