Pace Rigid Fork Questions (with pic)

2nd generation RC30 with bonded dropouts.....nice :D

With no reducer shim (shown below) you will need a new crown to go bigger than 1 ".
The larger crowns have a slight bulge where the fatter steerer goes in. You will also need a Race Collar of the correct size (speak to Tim/Justbackdated)

Lots of shiny things there, could just get a 1in threadless steerer for fitting to the new bike, but not sure I even want them on it to be honest

They look like they would shake my fillings and remaining teeth out :D :(
Might just flog them as they are and hope they go to someone who wants them (for a Pace I presume?)
Sure I can find something to spend the money on, ah yes want a new seatpost, stem, bars etc etc :D

They are worth in the region of £90-£100 as they stand, if that helps?
I've seen them used on many different bikes but mainly Orange and Pace.

Steerer's for these are VERY common and should cost around £12

I might still have this 1" steerer kicking around (on the chrome forks) >>

Thanks for the info Neill and the steerer offer.

Might be a bit mercenary, but now I have found out their worth think I will sell them and put the cash towards a few other parts that I want for the Merlin. For a start it has a shimmed seatpost and not keen on them at all, so the money would be very handy

Not even convinced (apart from the possible jarring effect) how they would suit it looks wise either

They are from about '91.

I have a pair of these and they're OK for soft singletrack where I now live but they were not so much fun in the extreme dark peak area....
