Wanted Pace RC30 fork legs only, cantilever bosses

OK, I'll have to make a list...I have enough parts for maybe 10 pairs. 🤔

All the best,
Great !!
I have crowns of RC35 and RC36EVO.
What width do you plan for the fork dropouts? If you have dropouts machined that interests me too, I can have titanium tubes for the legs.
Thanks !!!

Normal 100mm spacing, 4mm thick plate.
Will work fine with the RC35 crown (it's the same crown as on the MK1 and MK2 RC30 rigid).
They will also fit the RC36EVO crown fine, but will be too 'old' in style really. That would have run the offset machined plug dropouts. The design I'm doing is the earlier brazed or welded ones, not the Mk2 with bonded machined plugs, same as the RC35, but will fit those crowns.

Thinking through the build sequence for the brazed or welded dropouts, I can see why Pace switched to the machined design pretty quickly. :)
I'll draw up the machined version and work out a cost.

All the best,

Hello.
the dropouts for rc35 (or rc30 1st and 2nd generation) are centered, while the rc36evo (and rc30 3rd generation) are off-center because the crowns are wider.
Are yours centered?

Ah, yes, I see, my mistake, I'd forgotten that the RC36s were wider crowns, with the different dropouts:

The dropouts on these repro legs will be the steel centred ones for RC30 (1&2) + RC35 crowns:

All the best,

What kind of steel do you use?
Since Reynolds were not forthcoming, it's Dedacciai Zero Uno, so 18MCDV6. 174KSi/1200N/mm2 so in the upper range of Reynolds 725 for properties.

Do you know the weight of a leg?

I've not calculated the leg weight, but there won't be much difference, I hope.
The tube spec is the same as original at 0.9/0.6.
We don't know the length of butt on the original, so I have gone with a 0.9mm butt down to the canti boss position to be on the safe side.

Other parts are as close to original dimensions or spec as I can find or work out.
I'm looking to fit a longer machined aluminium plug for the top to help resist crushing from the crown clamp, and buckling of the leg at the top.
That might weigh a little more than the plastic bungs on the really early versions, but I am keen not to produce a fake Pace fork leg, but a reproduction. Similar, but distinguishable by those that know.

All the best,
