I should probably have put a bit more history to it...
Have known it since new, back then it was full period XTR but had RS SID forks. It went to my dad as a frame / wheels package and eventually made its way to me but by then it was LX / XT circa 2003ish with Avid Arch rivals and the original XTR / Mavic 517 wheelset but some awful twangy Manitou forks. It briefly became a singlespeed too, 19lbs or so. I was a bit strapped for cash at 16 and couldn't stretch to full XTR on the strength of a paper round.
Since then it went to a local bloke who fitted the discs and some Fox Vanillas but after a period where it didn't see much use, he decided to go full sus and sold it on again. I took it off him and had a bit of a swap about with the Giant anthem which I was riding at the time, hence the F80s (sorry, I know it isn't 'proper') and the big bars just to pull the front end up as the bike is a touch small for me, a lanky 6'2 on 18(or 18.5?) frame.
Sold the Anthem so this is my current only bike, so discs, modern fork and groupset keep the civility but I still get the old Pace ride. Only trouble is, it's so tarty and I've known it so long that I'm terrified to scratch it! Bit of a problem when it's my only bike...
