Little bit of an update this week. Thomson stem fitted with a 11/8” to 1” adapter, RC130 bars on and swapped the XT thumbs out for M900 with the aid of some NOS Magura perches.

Oh and a Mint Sauce stem cap.

Looks good mate similar to mine except mine bits are blue were your back brake cable goes across top bar I got some clips that open and hold the cable under the top bar they just stick on

Next week’s mods will hopefully be swapping over the XTR cranks when my inner Pace chainring arrives.

Personally I’d go with an earlier stem than Thomson. Even a Syncros would suit a bit better in my opinion.

I have a nos 1” threaded Sycros stem I was going to use but would require new headset and steerer tube, the Tomsom is a temper measure while I gather the rest of the parts together, unless someone has a 1” clamp and doesn’t want eBay rates for it.

Steerers usually come up for around £20-30 and you can sell your old one for the same price

Headset , a nice M900 one would suit and add that Syncros for sure.
