Theres patina, and then there is decay. I'm sure the bike has a great pedigree, but I would clean it back and potentially respray.
 
I have heard lots of arguments for and against leaving it the way it is... I do think it looks good the way its is, but on the flip side, some of the ones i have seen on here that have been re-done look great too...
 
Oh dont get me wrong, your doing the right thing selling as is. It is the choice of the new owner to keep as is or restore, it is just my preference would be to restore.
