Pace fork braces

Need a pair for my RC36 (Pro class I believe - no stickers though) to replace the magnesium ones which are cracking around the attachment screws.

Having seen the price originals fetch, it might be cheaper to take one to my local machine shop as a pattern and get a couple CNC'd up!

Do you have a pic of the fork? I might have some depending on what model you have.

This is them. I'm thinking aftermarket aluminium might be better given the age of the magnesium.

No worries. I'll take one down to my local friendly engineering outfit and see if they can machine up something nice for me.

You can make simplified copies from flat alloy plate take some time over them and they can look great.

there was a guy on ebay a while ago selling some that he had made, I did ask him at the time if he had many sets but he said he only had a couple of sets made as there was no call for them! they were both sold before I managed to get a bid in

both mine are cracked

It seems if you don't keep the paint absolutely perfect, the old mag rot sets in and it turns to mature cheddar.

I've got about £9k's worth of work in with one of the local engineering firms so I'm hoping I'll be able to get a few nice braces made up for not too much money. I'll sketch up something sexy for their laser cutter guy
