In all honesty I have no idea what make my headset on the RC100 is but it certainly isnt a mavic. I heard the early bikes were shipped with slightly modified Shimano 600 units.

Tended to be converted Campagnolo and I have seen again converted Mavic headsets on them but in this day and age any 1" ahead headset will do the job

Just depends how "correct" you want it to be
