Anyone out there got any experience of using these p7 led torches on their bikes? I know its not retro, but they do seem to offer 900 lumens in a small package for under £50

I have not tried any, but there is a lad local to me selling some decent ones for £30.00 (900 lumen, cree led, single aa battery) looks quite a nice piece of kit.

p7 lights

hi
We have been using and selling these lights for around 6 months now and they offer tremendous value for money.

the build is good but they require tightening of the internal parts prior to use.

Battery life on the 2 function model is around 2 hours full beam !! and we completed 10 dark laps of the strathpuffer using only 5 batteries between us.

worth every penny , drop a line if you need any other info

regards martin

Actually intrested in the torch type so , that I can stick on the helmet. I already have 2 Hope 1's on the bars. So pls advise on prices etc and pics if you have them. A lot of people are raving about them. If there's a bandwagon, I need to be on it :D

Here you go, I'm using this since a year and it has been great. Even the middle outpit level is good enough for nightbiking and on High beam the traffic will stop for you  I'm getting 1,5 hour full blast out of a single Lipo battery charge. So I ride with one spare in the Camelbak and switch after an hour. The remaining charge is good for another hour on Medium as my back-up.

Plus I've just got myself the Bike specific version with a remote mounted 4 cell battery pack, just in so not ridden yet:

Enjoy!!

I've been running a Aurora, single cell p7 torch for over a year for commuting and off road. One cell provides around 2hr of light that is intense enough to ride quickly off road on full beam. If you carry a few rechargable cells with you it is possible to ride mutidayers or enduro events without the need to stop and recharge.
