Core exercises all the way, listen to your body though don't force yourself through stretches

+1 , I put my back out about 6 years ago and after plenty of yoga it's been perfectly fine for a long time .

i put my road/MTB next to each other and was suprised by how similar they are -same saddle hight, similar bar height and reach - maybe I'll try and source a slightly shorter stem/ put on my (nin-retro) riser bars :?

rode for 50 mins yesterday 'round Barcelona Grand Prix circuit! 5euros entry - track to myself almost! any other circuits do this?

back hurt after 1st lap, okay today though!

I broke my back late last season when I over cooked a corner a little bit and landed on my head into a rock. For some inspiration check out Mike Aitken on Youtube...over-rotated 360 riding trails left him in a coma and parylised down his right side. Has made it back onto a bilke and it now boosting big again :D

As for backs I usually pop a few paracetemol before a race just to take the edge off it...Okay it's not sorting the problem 100% but gets me by

But can I add one thing? I'm sure it doesn't help the way people think of their backs as being a weak point in their bodies.

Your back is an incredibly strong, powerful structure, and you should remember that.
 
Liquid glucosamine. I have vertebrae damage from MX and 2 bulged discs from a failed attempt at jumping an irrigation ditch (came up short) on my enduro bike. I use it daily along with core exercises and road cycling and it helps.
