overseas chat (babelfish content)

Ok, I have often frequented the overseas forums and have recently come across the SK1 design French forum.

my question is - should I try using babelfish and risk insulting the foreign languages and making myself look illiterate or should I stick to my native tongue and hope they understand me better than a babelfish translation :?:

All including the european members - Your thoughts please.

Atleast three of them post on here so you'll probably get away with a few 'lost in translations' ..

I post on there occasionally too (despite my mangled French!) and have been welcomed. I do find the format not so easy on the eye though and their threads tend to have many many pages of evolving conversations which is quite hard going to get through compared to ours. That said they tend to talk about the same sort of stuff!

we do tend to chat like at a local cafe ( pub ) .

there is a special thread called the Zinc with more than 1200 pages just for chatting all day . and off course the game is to get the message at the top of the page .
