overburys find

hello all, picked up a overburys pioneer today from the local bike shop, very happy with it but it needs a respray.

question is, who? argos have done frames for me in the past but the paint is quite brittle and not really up to being on a mtb frame. i can get powder coating done locally at a few different places but they are a bit industrial and dont really care how the frame looks afterwards!

does any body know of a national firm who actually know what type of finish we are looking for?


oh, and how do i age this frame? it came with 7 speed xt bits and 91-96 era bits on, but can i pinpoint a year? its 130 OLN too.

Note down the frame number and try and ask Mrs Powell who still runs the shop in Bristol ( she's lovely ).

It is a very nice frame, would have loved it but it was too small.

I reckon it's an early 90s Pioneer although I'm far from an expert, Vaz Finishers have a very good reputation for resprays as do Bob Jackson
