hi allan , welcome to the site :D

did'nt i buy my raleigh maffif from you maybe a year ago ? i met you down by the waverly station in my van ?

Yup!

Yes, you did, (Massif, Right?!)
Hope you're happy with the bike...like i said, totally new to retrobike, finally got around to getting onto this after previous attempts came up with registration issues...the guy i sold it to said he'd seen it on here (the overburys bike), and so that set my mind racing!
I'll be away between the 8th-26th july, but more bikes will come up between now and then...but selling on here isn't quite my main aim, as johnny five once said...need more imput!
I'd like to use this site as a information gathering, friend-making tool predominantly, it looks good, but i'll take my time in getting my head around it.
Good to hear from a previous (and hopefully happy) customer...most of mine usually seem to be students who are just happy to have bikes.

P.S on another note, i recently completed my bike ride from John o groats to land's end on my Giant Stonebreaker...more info on this model would be great, as i was given it and when i first got on it a year ago, i knew it would be the one that would take me 1000 miles, i think it's 20 years old, it's in fantastic condition and i just want to know more about the bike which i call "my own" (after techincally owning well over 1000 bikes!)
Thanks,
Allan
