My mate has been given a frame which may be a Overbury Peakfinder.
It takes 700 wheels has sort of MTB geometry but is 21" and canti / v brake thingys, plus mounting for racks front and rear. Which made us dicount our earlier thought that it could be a Cyclocross frame.
We're in Bristol so thought it could be an Overbury. Does anyone have a picture they could forward?

Hang on - your only reason for thinking it's an Overburys is that you're in Bristol? That's a bit tenuous!

The first MTB style bikes with 700c wheels to sell in any number were the Raleigh Pioneers - statistically it's more likely to be one of those.

You could take the frame to the Overburys shop and ask if it's one of theirs.

There are a couple of reasons for thinking it may be an Overburys. It has been resprayed at Argos, they're very good and quite expensive plus the quality of the welding is really good. It appears to be a good quality hand welded frame. In Eric Newby's Around Ireland book he and his wife used 2 Overburys bikes and the description sounded right.
The shop are "interesting" to deal with and I thought the clever people out there may be a good start.
Plus we both remember seeing an Overbury very similar to Ade's but it was years ago and it would be nice to know what his is.

wow. i never knew i used to live only a couple of miles from overburys - ashley down road.
