For Sale Overbury’s (Andy Powell) custom fast tourer frameset for renovation. 600ex headset.

Will offer this here before the bay. It’s an Overbury’s touring frame set in seen-better-days-but-sound-and-ready-for-refurb condition. A lot of surface rust, but having rubbed back the worst bits, it seems very surface.

531c. 58cm Seat tube and 56cm top. 128mm rear. Cinelli BB shell, with no frame number; tiny holes drilled in the DT for internal Dynamo cable routing; low rider fork mounts and a light mount; nice filed lugs remnants of owner’s name - looks like this was a custom done off the books by Mr Powell (I’ve had three of his with no frame number).

Comes with the 600ex headset pictured : this runs free and the lock nut isn’t siezed.

I think Overburys have the best head badge of any bicycle, I have stuck on my tool box because they look so good although I no longer own one..

It is cool: if I was a bit handier I’d like to make a metal version and paint it. (I guess you’d have to make a wax former than cast it. Or maybe draw it, 3d print and then use that like the wax to make a mould?)

So, ‘medium’ to ‘tight’ I’d say: build it as a roadie not a gravel rig.

Pics are with the rear in the middle of the dropout slots. 23mm tyres.

Brake drop is c. 45 at the back, 50 at the front (middle of the hole to middle of the braking track, by eye with a metal ruler).

Oh, and a 130mm hub goes in without fuss.
