That 1990 lilac fade is just perfect....just trim back that rear cable end and tuck it out of the way under the little nib on the back of the brake arm, neat and tidy...just like its first day of (Old) School.

Yep! I argue that it gives more grip that way, as the 'Vee' of the tread should bite into the terrain and give better traction under load.
It works for me, so thats why its on there like that

I wish I'd bothered to take decent pics for when I entered it in BOTM. It may have got a vote or two

I've never tried running the rear backwards, myself, so I might try it on the Alpinstars now....
