Ouch, that hurt,,,still does!

Don't know how the hell this happened today...
Put some new tyres on my bike (Maxxlite) and went out for a spin with my mate. Still on the road we went spinning down a hill, to turn left near the bottom. Now we were going at a pace....somehow I managed to 'high-side'...don't really know what happened.
According to my mate a somersaulted three times, with the bike still firmly attached. Don't know how many times I hit the road...but hit it hard enough with my head to crack my helmet... :shock:
Came down real hard on my shoulder/back. Gravel rash everywhere, elbows, back, shoulder etc.
Off to hospital and somehow no broken bones.
Ache plenty though. And my Retrobike shirt was cut off.

I never cycle without a helmet.....thank god...it could have been very very nasty.

Seen too many broken helmets recently, anyone that rides without one - on or off road is a fool.

On the plus side, my mrs who is pretty handy with a sewing machine, has
given my retrobike shirt a full zip..only it says retrbike now
