Orphan parts....

Perhaps a thread - a bit like the old help each other thread - where you post details/pics of your orphaned parts in order to find their long lost brothers or sisters. :) If there's a good match, someone gets a matching pair, and someone gets cash/karma. Win-win :D

I'm sure everybody in here has mismatched stuff like that. For instance i have some cranks with diffferent lenght but a pair of legs with the same lenght.
I really believe there is some really unused potential in this topic.
We need a thread like that or even an own section in the for sale part of the website :!:

I have one of my old m600 v brakes I bought new in 98 . I did have a pair but somewhere along the line I must have lost or sold one :( I have another I bought a couple of years ago so I have a pair again , but it's not quite the same .

If there's a mavic 230 rim in there i'd really love you if you'll PM me about it, one of mine blew out ages ago..

I have a spare mavic 230 rim. Sliver, non anodised. Was a front wheel that didn't see that much use bitd. From what I remember it's fairly true and hardly any sign of brake wear. PM me if you're interested.

During regional meets bring all your odds and put them in a box
Leave by the side of the road

How about a sticky thread with just the names of orphaned parts?

Say if someone has a Mavic 217 in 32H gold, they just make a post and you can contact them to say you'd either like to buy it or sell them the match?

That way you could just use the search function to search that thread for the part you have.
