I just thought I'd report that mine is shimed 26.4mm - I had thought that the rim of the shim was part of the seatpost clamp.
It's the first time I've had the seatpost out of this bike. Does anybody know what they're made of? I had thought it was cromoly as the welds look neat, and the saddle clamp is thin. When removed it felt more like aluminium alloy.
Also there were 3 largish (about 15mm) holes drilled in the part that was in the frame - never seen that before. :?
