How about one of those chrome-look powders (if your coater stocks it)? Then it's a little nod to the nickel ones...

I didn't know chrome-look powder was a thing. Interesting...

I was just looking at this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115087305963 which is apparently original and I'm wondering how far off RAL 4006 (Traffic Purple) would be

Not a fan of that purple and orange scheme though. I think silver decals would be better.

Yeah not the best. There are better examples of that colour here and here (interesting seat stays on that one).

I think I'l enquire about a chrome powdercoat

That purple one is defo original as I had a C16 in the same colour. From memory it was a special edition finish according to the original owner? The picture doesn't show the finish well as it was a beautiful, deep paint. Think they call it a candy finish at the powder coaters?

Yeah it was the rusty zinc one. My local powdercoater doesn't do chrome or any candy finishes apparently so I may just go with satin black

Powder coat done. Silver frame and forks and black stem

Now just need to decide on decal colour. Probably Orange or Black.
