Orange P7 Colours

WOW that was fast! Pretty much what I had in mind- with a nice nod to the nickel plated ones.
It will look lovely with orange and black bits on it!

Superstar Components do good orange ano stuff at reasonable prices.

Applied some decals this morning. Quite pleased with those.

Next job is to drop it off at the LBS for tapping and facing of the bottom bracket shell.

I had a nickel finish p7 back in the 90s but used it all year round for work and the salt on the roads made it go rusty around the bottom bracket..
Stripped it and orange did a re spray for free..
Still got it ..just not original chainset at mo..

Got round to building up the P7 today. It's not exactly period correct. I was tempted by the USE Outlet bargains and treated myself to carbon riser bar and seat post. They work quite well on this build I think.

I still need to make a couple of tweaks but I went for a ride round the block and nothing fell off.

Went for a longer ride today and it's ace. A couple more upgrades required I think, some lighter tyres and a switch to full XT beckons. I should have posted these updates in readers MTBs really as I appear to have morphed my initial question into a build thread
