Not going to be much of a build thread as it doesn't need much. The original owner only did about 50 miles on it then it's just stood in a garage. Unfortunately it has the usual rust spots the nickel plated ones suffer from around BB & headset & owner had put rust stop on which cosmetically makes it worse. It has the FIR Orange rims. Hopefully just a strip, polish & decals required. It was a 550 mile round trip so had a pleasant overnighter in the van to break the journey.

very nice!

Didn't notice BITD p7's had crud catcher mounting bolts... or are they after market?

Cheers! Aye - the first ones didn't in 94. It looks like Orange added the bosses from the '95 range, as well as short-lived mounts on BB for chain-ring cleaning gizmo. That was only there for 2-3 years.

I've got a P7 RS frame to rebuild, rust spots, yeah got to do something about them. Thinking silver smooth Hammerite.

Most I've seen have had rust spots that have polished out with polish &/or foil. If it's too far gone a powder coat may be a good way forward. A contemporary colour or even a chrome effect.

It's not too bad, just a few on the inside of the chainstsys near the bottom bracket.
Hence the idea of smooth Hammerite.
