Orange forks question.

I have these forks that I believe are from an E3 or Elite or 02.
They are aluminium but the steerer is steel. The steel steerer is bonded in.
Is this normal?
They are very light 1.48lbs.
I've noticed the early orange frames are listed as 1" head tube but they have a quill stem and aluminium forks. So presumably this is the way they did it.
So, anyone else got some Orange forks the same?

That's not an orange fork, it's a Klein fork ... ;-)
