Orange Elite, O 1/4 inch Ali Stalk Stem

Bought this with a bar but the stem was not needed. I believe its from an early 90's Orange Elite.

1/4 inch, 160mm ctc, some scrtaches, with repro Stickers

Have a set of XT Thumbshifters, honest condition is poor. Tops are scraped, and the right hand shifter mounting bolt threaded itself. I part drilled out the otherside and mounted a nut so I could still tighten from the bottom.

Added Karma P2 Forks

I have also dug out a set of Kona P2 Forks.

I'm offering these Karma for free plus postage or collected.

I picked them up a 18months ago at a car boot for peanuts. Never found a build for them. There not in the best nick, bit or rust creeping thru and a thumb print dent behind one of the legs.

TBH i have not ever owned a pair of P2's and visually the look fractionally bent backwards, It may just be an optical illusion.

I've wandered in from the road section and know nothing about this muddy stuff so here's a silly question.
Are the cranks OK to use with the 8 speed cassette and chain?
Oh, and are replacement chainrings easy/cheap to get hold of?

HI Mark,
I'm going to be completely honest and say I dont know.. The cranks were fitted on a 1998 era frame I picked up. I however don't know what their spec was, STX R. The y might actually be RC but the "c" has been perfectly rub away from the "r"
My "guess" is the 8 speed chain wouldn't be an issue. However I dont know about the chain ring BCD.

Anyone help?
