hi, time to part company with this metal.

orange E3 1995/6. good nick, the usual laquer roughing and minor scuffs. the worst ugly is the chainstay graze, superficial though. no cracks, dents etc.

1" head tube 68mm bb shell. for 26" wheels and can run v-brakes as well as cantis. two cable stops have been neatly riveted on for the purpose of v-brake.
seat tube takes a 29.8/30.0mm post, i will include a 27.2 shim(narrows search for post significantly!) post clamp bolt is titanium. rear mech hanger included( £15 on their own).

tube work at the head is gusseted and nicely welded. the decals are original with a couple of faults here and there. front mech needed is top-pull and 34.9mm.

here's some particulars....

frame size, i would say 17.5mm but maybe 17" i measured from bb centre to open to opinion. top tube length was measured centre of seat tube to centre of head tube, reading 21.5".

weight? i knew it was light but.....1543g.

i will post to uk for £60.

some product details available in the gallery. orange catalogues 1995/6.

I think I'll have to pass thanks Marc. I reckon I want a '97 E3 or E4 ;)

Thanks though :)

Cheers

May I ask what the serial number is Marc? That's the only E3 I've seen with that style of canti guide - normally up to 96 they had a bridge, then the 97s had no guide obviously, but I don't know where that style fits into the chronology. I think the decals are 96ish.

OK, so Feb 96, which I would guess means a late-season 96, as anything a few months later would be 97 production. So presumably a transition between the 96 and 97 designs.

It seems on good condition, you don't often see them with original decals.
