Orange Clockwork 1992

For no other reason than I just scanned the only photo I have of it as it was in 1992. Full DX with Orange finishing kit. Purple X-Lite stubbies and seat clamp and a Ti railed seat (can't remember the name but it was a bit of a budget Flite) were the only alterations (I could afford).

I broke the seat tube and had the frame replaced by Orange, but by then the Clockwork was grey with shitty block capital decals and I didn't get on with it at all. Think it lasted a couple of months before getting punted to some muppet at uni. I must have been quite put off because I replaced it with my first pair of Technics 1210s, which soon became another drain of funds. :)

No offence to those with the inferior later (or earlier!) Clockworks btw, but this was my baby and one day I'll have one again. Oranges should be orange.

Great bike. Still got my Clockwork from 1990 and after years of neglect I'm rebuilding it with an old XT groupset and other period correct bits.
Totally agree that Oranges (especially Clockworks) should be orange.

Is that orange or red? I remember earlier ones to mine were a more reddy pinky colour. Dunno what year though.

I'm choking to find a good one and build it with all the bits I wanted but couldn't afford at the time, Pace, USE, Syncros, Ringle etc. Problem is I still can't afford them 20 years on.
