Orange bike - just bought but what is it?

Im thinking Raleigh Special Products myself, I actually think its better than a pub bike.

THe chainstay bridge and the hooded dropouts seem better then generic frame to me, nice features.

Thought I'd seen something similar, One Raleigh Special Products Frame note the similar rear stay.

The frame is certainly better quality than the parts hung from it, thats for sure. An eclectic mix of low to lower end on there, and the forks.......

On this bike the chainstay looks cast rather than proper CNC.

The Alivio chainset, rear mech and bling frame badge suggest something from a catalogue brand circa 1997.

Might be worth sticking the frame on some scales to see how good/bad it is.

OK thanks for your tips everyone.
I think I will get it serviced and use it as a pub/winter/snow bike, unless anyone wants to make me an offer to collect it from Bradford?

Just seen this "Radford" bike sold by Action Bikes in the mid-90s, it has an identical style of frame badge so there's your answer!

Doesn't look like the Claud Butler alloy frames of the era so probably a cheap Taiwanese frame.
