I've currently got an Orange 223 (getting on for retro now!) which I'm trying to sort out as a favour for someone. The front axle does not want to come out meaning the brake can't be bled and the front tyre cannot be changed!
I'm not exactly sure how this front axle system works so any guidance at all would be much appreciated - its a rockshox boxxer, from the early 2000s I believe. There are no pinch bolts and it looks like the clamping axle has been removed...
From my understanding there was a clamping axle with wedge spacers at each end to expand the split ends of the actual 20mm axle. The disc side looks like there is some sort of threaded insert but I'm not sure if this is meant to be removed or stay inside the fork? Because of this I'm not sure if the axle should screw out or press out?
