He is an odd fish. I have had a few bits off him that had completely normal prices and he did offer a frame to me once at half his listing price. In my dealings with him he came across as the complete opposite of the greedy, hand wringing, dealer.
I have seen that side of him, but i can't ignore the sky high prices on kit that is really worn out(some of the tyres are great examples), or the prices are double, or triple, what any sane person would spend.
I know people like him who deal with classic cars ,and parts for them, who aren't greedy horrible people. The pricing is all over the place and they end up sitting on stuff for decades. I think it is some kind of hoarding problem , where we see a personal value attached to objects and not a market value, and they can afford to be like this if they aren't paying much, or maybe anything, for the storage of what they have.
