Optimistic?

Saw this this and thought of you... I mean did a double take.

Is there something I'm not getting, or does that seem a bit overly optmistic for a used DX rear mech?

Optimistic is quite polite . . trying to take the piss is a bit more apt imo..

A used DX mech with no jockey wheels

Appears to have sold
Must be the going price for a DX mech with no jockey wheels !! :o  :o
Looks like it sold for £25.

Still quite a high price, considering, I think. I mean if it was NOS and all stickered up with a box (like those cantis that are being sold from Germany) then I could more understand a high price, but something used, and without jockey wheels, and it's stretching it some.

I like DX kit, from that era, I think it looks visually more appealling that XT, and it's not far behind in terms of quality and durability. That said, I'm not completely deluded about it's value, though... ;-)

I suppose the counter argument is that it's worth what somebody is prepared to pay (a largely flawed argument, I might add) and in this example that was £25 + postage, but still seems a bit inflated.
