Opening a KMC Missing Link

I am aware you can buy reusable ones. I have two pairs myself. I said as much...

...you can buy KMC missing links for a 7 speed chain that are labelled reusable, but the link with the chain makes it clear that it can only be removed using a chain tool, i.e. pushing out the pin.

So equally, you get ones that are not overtly meant to be reusable. Here's what it said with my chain- note the red balloon:

For the info. I've reused the missinglink that came with my X8 many times now and on my X9 chain.
Never had to buy another, but I will do as they are easy to repair a chain when riding (as others have shown them to be useful on our rides).
