Ooooooo, Pace RC100 on eBay, BRAND NEW....must resist!

i am just so glad i was able to buy one with the important bits in place,
i would love to buy another one, but i think i'll pass on this frame, as i've spent so much getting mine back to orignal.
but i think with these bikes, the price is secondary to the actual being able to own a piece of mtb history.

Hi there,

I'm seriously thinking of taking the plunge on an RC100. Have had an RC200 for years now and, i'm sure i'll be shot for it, but is built with a lot of modern kit, as i do a lot of long rides and have done a few transalps on it...

However, I would like to start building up an RC100 in attempt to offset the 'non-original' scarring put upon my RC200...

What do people suggest is the most i should pay for this frame, or does anyone have any other ideas how i might get hold of one...?

I'm not in a rush, but i think it is time to sell my racing bike and add to the British MTB fleet...?

Thanks in advance

i think with a frame like this its hard to tell you what price to go up to.
but without the bullseyes, rc30's and original stem, even if you get it for £350. your still going to have to spend some serious money. if your not in any hurry, you might be wise waiting for a complete bike to come up. but that wont happen too often. if it were me i'd try and get it for as low as possible. but i can see it going for £500. to right buyer.

Well well well, this thread has come around at maybe just the right time!

I have what some might consider the best, most complete, restored RC100 in my loft, never ridden since I bought it. Its even been vacuum wrapped to keep the dust off :D

I might post up a for sale ad after Christmas.....

just a thought, usually after christmas no one's got any money, get a few pics up and put it in the for sale section, i'm sure people are looking to spend money at this time of year.
And rc100's usually go for good money.

In some peoples eyes this might be the right/wrong time of year but at the end of the day a bike is worth what someone will pay for it.

I have to say that the RC100 frame looks very very good, excellent in fact. £500 looks to be around the right price. That leaves some scope with what to do with it, pukka retro build, more modern take on things or whatever!

Anyway - who has a Renault Clio Williams 1,2 or 3 in mint condition for sale?

No replies to the car request please - This is about the frame (isn't it Mods!)

RC100 doesn't lend itself to retro modern builds. You are pretty much stuck on the cranks and brakes.

If any one is looking for a 16" RC100 full bike give us a shout.

Aye Jerky you are right, Modern is a big "No No" for a RC100.

Anyway - this frame looks 100% ace - it will go for a good price i'm sure!
